Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a suspect in a stabbing investigation in Midland.
Around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 26, OPP responded to a disturbance call at a Hugel Avenue address. Officers located a person who was transported to a Toronto-area hospital with serious injuries.
Police say investigators identified a suspect and obtained a warrant for their arrest.
With the assistance of the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad and the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force, a 20-year-old Midland man was taken into custody.
He has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
The accused is to appear in court on Tuesday.
