OPP charge 4 teens after Highway 11 crash in Gravenhurst

Four teenagers from New Brunswick have been charged by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) after officers responded to a report of a collision around 7 p.m. Thursday on Highway 11 northbound in Gravenhurst near Sedore Road.

Police say the vehicle missed a rock cut before colliding in the ditch. None of the occupants was seriously injured.

As a result of an investigation by officers, it was determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen on Aug. 10 from New Brunswick.

An 18-year-old was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, operation while prohibited, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, obstruct a peace officer, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Two 15-year-olds and a 14-year-old have each been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The teens were to appear in court on Friday.
