A Barrie man has been charged in connection with the shooting death of another man in Kirkland Lake.
With the assistance of the Barrie Police Service, Kirkland Lake OPP say two people were arrested.
According to provincial police, shortly after 10 p.m. last Thursday, officers responded to a shooting at a location on Second Street East.
The victim was a 47-year-old resident of Kirkland Lake.
A 21-year-old from Barrie has been charged with first-degree murder.
A second suspect, a 30-year-old man from Dobie, Ontario, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact.
Both accused remain in custody.
The Kirkland Lake OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
