A 40-year-old Gravenhurst woman has been busted for allegedly trying to pass off fake cash.

Bracebridge OPP says that between June 30 and July 8, they got several calls about a person passing counterfeit money at several locations in Gravenhurst.

Thanks to tips from the public, police say they were able to identify a suspect.

The accused is facing five counts of uttering counterfeit money and three counts of fraud under $5,000.

She has a court date in August.
