OPP Crediting Members of the Public With Recent Bracebridge Arrests
An Alleged Drunk Driver and Drug Dealer Cuffed in Separate Arrests
Members of the public are being credited with taking a drunk driver off the roads of Bracebridge.
The OPP say a call came in around 10:30 Tuesday morning, of a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner along Muskoka Road 118 in Bracebridge. Police tracked down the suspect vehicle in short order. A 60-year-old woman from Muskoka Lakes Township is now facing an Impaired Driving charge and an early January court date.
Meanwhile, a 43-year-old Muskoka Lakes Township man was also arrested in Bracebridge, thanks to a bystander. A member of the public called the OPP after noticing a man’s strange behaviour along Depot Drive in Bracebridge, while officers tracked down the suspect in question at a nearby store. Following a brief investigation, the man was takne into custody and charged with possessing and trafficking fentanyl.
