OPP and the Office of the Chief Coroner are conducting a death investigation after the body of a man was located in Penetanguishene.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP say the body was found in a wooded area near the intersection of Fox Street and Beck Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators say the deceased has been identified and they are notifying the family.
"This death is not believed to be suspicious and there is no threat to public safety," officers said in a release. "Further investigation will continue at a post-mortem examination which will take place in the coming days."
