Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit investigating disapperance of Alliston man

24-year-old William Schernhammer was last seen in his hometown of Alliston around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024 in the area of Alberta and Ontario Streets, according to provincial police

His disapperance is being investigated by the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Police issued a news release on Thursday urging anyone with information regarding Schernhammer's whereabouts or information that may assist with the investigation to contact a dedicated tip line at 1-877-225-6273 or the OPP non-emergency number at 1-888-310-1122.

The public can also call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.crimestopperssdm.com.

Schernhammer is 5'11" tall and 160 pounds with a slim build, long brown hair, and a long goatee.

At the time of his disappearance, police said was wearing a light brown jacket, dark sweater with a hood, dark-coloured pants, blue running shoes with a red bottom, and a blue bandana on his head.
