Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say one person is facing charges after a months-long drug trafficking investigation in Essa Township.

Police executed a search warrant at a home Thursday.

Investigators say they seized cocaine, methamphetmine, cutting agents, about $2,800 in suspected crime proceeds, along with brass knuckles and a large knife.

A 36-year-old Essa Township man was charged with drug and weapons offences, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failing to comply with an undertaking.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
