
A collision involving a bear in Tiny Township ended with police having to euthanize the injured animal.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP say officers responded to Concession 11 around 10 a.m. Monday after a vehicle struck a large adult male bear.

The crash damaged the vehicle, while the bear suffered serious injuries. Police say the bear was found near the scene and had to be put down.
OPP worked with local Indigenous community partners to ensure the bear was respectfully harvested following the incident.
Police are reminding motorists to stay alert for wildlife, especially in rural and wooded areas where animal activity can increase during the early morning and evening hours.
