OPP execute search warrant in Midland, 12 people arrested

Police seized drugs and weapons

Provincial police say they seized a variety of drugs and arrested 12 people when they executed a search warrant at a home on Robert Street in Midland on Thursday night.

Police from three OPP detachments (Southern Georgian Bay, Huronia West, Collingwood) took part in the raid.

According to a news release, police seized weapons as well as methamphetamine, fentanyl, MDMA, cocaine, numerous prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia.

A number of people found in the home were later released unconditionally.

Two people from Midland were charged with drug-related offences, another person from Midland was charged with failing to comply with a release order, and a suspect from Tiny Township was charged with failure to comply with an undertaking.

All but one of the suspects were released with a future court date.
