Woman charged with impaired after infant found alone in vehicle in Bracebridge: OPP

A tip from a member of the public led Ontario Provincial Police to a Bracebridge parking lot where officers say they found an impaired driver had left an infant alone inside a vehicle.

Police say around 10 a.m. Saturday, they responded to Depot Drive after concerns were raised about a woman believed to be unfit to drive.

When officers got there, they located the woman after she had left the vehicle. Inside, a baby was found unattended.

A 35-year-old from Utterson has been charged with operation while impaired, over 80, operation while prohibited, and failing to provide the necessaries of life - child.

The woman has a court date in August.
