Provincial police are seeking the public's assistance in relation to a sexual assault investigation in Port Carling.

Police say a sexual assault was reported to have taken place in the parking lot of a private golf club off Highway 118 West on July 7, 2022, between midnight and 1:00 a.m.

"The victim, a female in her early 40s, was approached and sexually assaulted by a male while standing outside the rear door of a white Ford F-150 pickup truck in the staff parking area approximately 150 yards (~140 metres) from the main club building entrance," officers stated in a release. "The male then quickly walked away towards the general parking lot area."

OPP describe the man as 5'8" with a lean build, short salt and pepper hair, wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, and dark-coloured pants.

Investigators believe there may have been witnesses in the area at the time of the assault.

Anyone who may have witnessed the sexual assault or has any information is asked to contact Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The following is a message from OPP
