OPP investigating the death on Friday of an 11-month-old boy in Wasaga Beach

First responders were called to a residence about a child in distress

Huronia West OPP, fire services and paramedics responded to a call on April 17 about a child in distress at a residence in Wasaga Beach.

An 11-month-old boy was taken by ambulance to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Provincial police are assisting the Office of the Chief Coroner with the investigation into the infant’s death. A post mortem examination has been scheduled.
