OPP charge two Orillia men with robbery

Police responded to a report of a potential stabbing

Provincial police have charged two men with robbery and other offences after officers responded to a report of a person who had potentially been stabbed downtown on Mississaga Street East around midnight on Saturday.

Police allege the suspects tried to take another man's vehicle without his consent.

The male suffered several injuries.

A 29-year-old from Orillia was charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with Probation Order
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Assault
  • Robbery with Violence, and;

A 30-year-old, from Orillia was charged with the following

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - 2 Counts
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Forcible confinement

The accused were to appear in court on Monday.
