OPP update investigation into shooting in Clearview

Provincial police have released descriptions of two men who are suspects in a shooting in Clearview Township.

On Aug. 15, at around 10 a.m., Huronia West OPP responded to a shooting on 15/16 Side Road near Highway 26. One individual was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe two suspects arrived in a dark-coloured 2011-2018 Volkswagen Jetta or Passat with Ontario plates.

Police say that after a verbal altercation, the passenger shot the victim. Both suspects fled the scene.

Suspect Descriptions:

Suspect #1 (Passenger):

• Male

• White, lighter complexion

• Sandy brown hair

• Possibly older than the driver

Suspect #2 (Driver):

• Male

• Possibly Portuguese, Greek, or Italian descent

• Darker complexion, beard

• Possibily 39–42 years old

There is no concern for public safety at this time, police said.
