OPP investigating suspicious death in Orillia

Owner uses GPS to track stolen vehicle in Muskoka, suspect arrested in Wasaga Beach

A suspicious death reported by the OPP at a home on Andrew Street in Orillia.

OPP were called to the residence around 11:30 Thursday night and found a person dead.

The cause of death has not been confirmed, but police are asking area residents to report any suspicious activity to OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or by calling 911.

“The OPP reminds all members of the public to be always aware of their personal safety,” police said in a news release. “The investigation is in its early stages and no further details can be released at this time. Residents of the area should expect to see a large police presence.”

Anyone with information can also provide it anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or crimestopperssdm.com.
