Scooter lit on fire, Orillia OPP investigating

OPP say they are investigating an arson in Orillia this morning and are looking for witnesses.

They say the incident happened at a residence on Oxford Street around 6 a.m.

"Police were able to obtain surveillance footage of a motorized scooter being approached by a male party and lit it on fire," OPP said in a release.

"The male proceeded to flee the area on foot."

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has camera footage is asked to contact Orillia OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
