Officers with the Orillia OPP detachment are investigating a fatal collision involving a snowmobile on Friday.
Just before 11 p.m., police, paramedics, and firefighters were dispatched to Saint Amant Road and Quarry Road in Severn Township.
"Upon arrival, a 40-year-old male from Durham Region was identified and pronounced deceased at the scene," OPP stated in a release.
"The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team and The Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario are assisting with the investigation."
