Orillia OPP charge driver after he blows 'over three times legal limit'

OPP responded to reports of an impaired driver at a provincial park

Orillia OPP arrested and charged a male driver with impaired operation after they say he blew over three times the legal limit.

On Thursday, just after midnight, officers say they responded to a provincial park in Ramara Township for reports of a man driving while intoxicated.

OPP located a vehicle matching the description.

As a result of an investigation, a 30-year-old Whitby man has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired-alcohol
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

He is scheduled to appear in Orillia court in August.

His driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
