Police say an unidentified man attacked the woman inside her home. He was wearing a black medical mask and a dark coloured ski mask.

Police are also investigating if the same person is responsible for a series of attempted break-ins between Nov. 24 and Dec. 2 in the following locations in Orillia:

  • Area of Barrie Road and Dallas Street
  • Area of Memorial Avenue and Elmer Park
  • Area of Mississaga Street West and Albert Street North

Police say the suspect is described as a tall and white man in his 20s with shoulder-length light brown hair, wearing a black medical mask or dark coloured ski mask. He has been seen wearing a grey winter coat, a striped scarf, a black and grey baseball cap with a rectangular black unknown logo and white earbuds in his ears.

Investigators are also appealing to anyone who resides or works in the area to check surveillance cameras for the last several weeks and report anything suspicious to Orillia OPP.
