OPP

Orillia OPP say a driver has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a telephone pole and being ejected from their vehicle in Severn Township.

Police say they responded to the single-vehicle rollover on Upper Big Chute Road around 8:30 a.m., on Saturday.

According to officers, the lone driver was transported to hospital, and then airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.

OPP have closed Big Chute Road between Quarry Road and River Road for several hours for an investigation - please avoid the area.
