OPP charged three individuals, and arrested two others with bench warrants, and seized cocaine, weapons, and cash, during a search warrant in Orillia last week.
On Thursday, September 22, around 5:00 a.m., OPP executed searches at two residences in the Albert and Victoria Streets area.
Police say they seized roughly 24 grams of cocaine, a conducted energy weapon, a replica firearm, and a quantity of Canadian and US currency.
Police laid charges on three people.
A 20-year-old Orillia man:
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of a prohibited device
He was held pending a bail hearing on Friday, September 23, at Barrie court.
A 51-year-old Orillia woman:
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of a prohibited device
She was released on an undertaking to appear in Orillia court in late October.
And a 52-year-old Orillia man:
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Possessing counterfeit money - have in custody
- Failure to comply with a prohibition order
The accused was released on an undertaking, and is scheduled to appear in Orillia court at the end of October.
OPP say two other individuals were located in the residence with outstanding warrants.
One was transported to the Barrie Police Service to address their warrant, and the second was held by Orillia OPP pending a bail hearing.
