Suspended driver since 1982 nabbed by Orillia OPP

Motorcycle collision closes Highway 27 at Phelpston

Orillia OPP say a man who's been a suspended driver since 1982 is up on multiple charges after a traffic stop.

OPP say on Saturday, April 9, around 5 p.m., an officer stopped a pick-up truck in the Brechin due to safety concerns for the vehicle.

Upon speaking with the driver, police say they learned that he's been a suspended driver since 1982.

Officers say an 82-year-old man from Kirkfield has been charged with driving an unsafe vehicle, and driving while under suspension.

His vehicle was seized and towed.
