Orillia Youth Centre employee for 15 years charged in sexual assault investigation

A 15-year employee of the Orillia Youth Centre has been charged by provincial police following a sexual assault investigation.

On Jan. 7, police said they began investigating a report of an alleged sexual assault involving members of the same residential community in Orillia.

As a result, 43-year-old Chris Bronson has been charged with making sexually explicit material available to a person under 18, luring a person under 18 through telecommunications, sexual assault, and sexual exploitation.

The accused has been held for a bail hearing.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims, and they want to hear from anyone who may have been affected.
