Oro-Medonte looking for community feedback on the future of parks and recreation

Residents should get a postcard in the mail with instructions on filling out survey

Oro Medonte wants residents to weigh in on its upcoming parks and rec plan.

The Township is in the midst of developing a Parks and Recreation Master Plan to help guide the planning of recreation facilities, parks, trails, and community services. One of the steps involved in creating this Master Plan is community engagement.

To that end, Oro Medonte Town Hall has mailed out postcards to residents with an access code and instructions on how to complete an online survey. Those who lost their card or never received one can fill out a non-coded survey as of October 14.

“Parks and recreation facilities are extremely important to Oro Medonte. These facilities bring people together, create lasting memories, and greatly contribute to our strong community,” said Mayor Harry Hughes. “We are looking forward to engaging with residents of all ages to create a made in Oro Medonte plan that will serve the needs of our community today, and into the future.”
