Oro Medonte says waterfront and boat launch parking is for residents only

Those who call Oro home will have to register for a pass online

In an effort to dissuade visitors to the area, the township of Oro Medonte is making many municipal parking spots ‘residents-only’.

The thing is, you’ve got to get a parking permit to prove you call Oro Medonte home.

In order to limit the chances of creating a place for COVID-19 to spread, the township is requiring permits on any vehicle parking at the community’s boat launches and waterfront parks. Only residents will be issued these permits.

Oro Medonte residents are encouraged to visit the Township website to register for their seasonal parking permit. A temporary, 14-day pass will be emailed to those who apply, while the permanent pass is sent by snail mail.
