It was around 5 p.m. Thursday when first responders were called to two-unit duplex on Collier Street near Blake Street in Barrie for what officials said was a fire in an oven in one of the upper floor apartments.
The fire official told Barrie 360 there was one occupant in the residence who was checked out by paramedics but did not need to be transported to hospital.
Crews have since cleared the scene.
