Pair Accused of Ditching Cart During South Barrie Shoplifting

Duo Accused of Packing Cart With Nearly $800 in Goods

Cops are on the hunt for two men, after trying to swipe nearly eight hundred bucks in groceries from a south Barrie store.

Investigators say the two suspects went to the Zehrs at Yonge and Big Bay around suppertime Friday, selecting items from virtually every department in the store. That caught the eye of the Loss Prevention Officer, who tailed the two and tried to stop them from leaving. Police say the pair instead ditched the cart filled with goods, and fled into a nearby wooded area.

The pair are described as:

Suspect #1: Male, white, approximately 25 years old, thin build, red and black hooded sweater, blue and red baseball cap.

Suspect #2: Male, white, approximately 25 years old white male, regular build, plaid red white and black jacket, red, white and black toque.
