Pair of Bradford seniors scammed out of cash with phony threat of arrest

Pair instructed to leave cash on doorstep

Police are on the hunt for a suspect after an elderly Bradford couple were defrauded out of some hard-earned cash.

Around 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, the seniors got a call from a woman who threatened them with police action if they didn’t go right to the bank and withdraw cash. The pair, too frightened to question it, complied and were then instructed to leave the money outside their home.

A male suspect was seen picking up the cash from the home in the area of Holland Street and Langford Boulevard. He is described as possibly being of Indian descent, standing 5’5″ with a stocky build, wearing black shorts, shirt, and shoes, along with a medical mask. He was seen leaving in a white, four-door Mazda 3.
