Pair Rescue Deer From Frigid Waters
Four Hours Before Animal Left On Its Own Power
It took nearly four hours for a deer to get back on its feet, after a pair in the Lindsay area rescued it from Omemee River.
Stephanie and Thomas Christopher were on their way to Lindsay when they spotted a deer going through the ice. The pair returned with a boat and managed to pull the animal into it.
Stephanie says via a Facebook post they tended to the deer for four hours before it was able to walk away on its own power.
The Facebook post details the OPP and Ministry of Natural Resources were on hand for the rescue, while a passing truck was able to provide the deer some corn to eat.
