Paramedics on the Front Line: County of Simcoe recognizes National Paramedic Services Week

Virtual celebrations showcase how front line paramedics respond to new procedures

Paramedics in Simcoe County continue to play a defining role in keeping communities safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In honour of National Paramedic Services Week, the County is virtually recognizing the dedication of their front line Paramedic Services personnel. The theme for this year is “Pandemic: Paramedics on the Front Line.”

Virtual celebrations will include videos and stories showcasing how Paramedics have changed their practices to respond to new protocols and requests. As well as the types of equipment and vehicles used daily to provide care, and tips on how the public can help protect themselves and first responders.

Warden George Cornell says paramedics have adapted their procedures and protocols to play an integral front-line role in response to this emergency.

“We commend our Paramedics and our administrative support staff for the work they do, to protect the health and well-being of our communities.”
