Missing nine-year-old boy located deceased near Parry Sound

Police say no foul play is suspected

West Parry Sound OPP say the search for missing nine-year-old Everett Freeman has concluded - he was located on Saturday deceased.

The youth from Seguin Township was camping with his family in Totem Pole Bay on Huckleberry Island on the waters of Georgian Bay. OPP say he went missing around 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12. 

Police say no foul play is suspected.

The OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Marine Unit, three Canine Units, OPP Aviation Services, OPP Underwater Search & Recovery Unit, McDougall Township Carling Township Fire Departments, and Canadian Coast Guard and Joint Rescue Co-ordination Center (JRCC) assisted in the investigation.
