After over 40 years, Pat Sajak is stepping away from the wheel.
The 76-year-old host announced he's leaving "Wheel of Fortune" after hosting the show for four decades, with 2023/2024 being his last season.
On Twitter, he said "It's been a wonderful ride, and I'll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it'll keep the clickbait sites busy!)"
Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)

However, he won't completely disappear from the show's landscape, as he's staying on as a consultant for a few years following his on-air exit.
He's been the show's host since 1981 and was joined by Vanna White in 1982. Together they became a cultural phenomenon that taught most of us what a vowel was.
So far, word of a new host has yet to be made. However, maybe Vanna could take over. She covered for Sajak in 2019 for several weeks while he recovered from surgery.
Fans are missing him already, with some calling him the GOAT of hosts.
Bob Barker, Alex Trebek and Pat Sajak are the holy Trinity of game show hosts. TV won’t be the same with them all gone from it.
