Patrick Fogarty student begins term as student trustee-elect
Important role on Board of Trustees
The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board has welcomed Isaac McClelland as the 2019-2020 student trustee.
The Grade 11 student from Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School in Orillia was elected by the Student Senate in November and has begun a six-month term as Student Trustee-elect alongside current Student Trustee Anna Szumska.
“The student trustee position plays an important role on our Board of Trustees. Hearing the student voice and understanding the youth perspective provides our trustees with a different and necessary insight, which we all
greatly value.”

Isaac will be officially commissioned as the 2019-2020 Student Trustee at the first Board meeting in September and will serve until July 31, 2020.
