How long does the typical kiss last between you and your partner?

A series of new TikTok videos reminds us that we should share a 6-second kiss with our partner at least once a day, much longer than the peck we get when heading out the door in the morning.

The concept is created by Dr. John Gottman, who says It stops the busyness in your brain and puts your focus on your partner."

Well, TikTok users have gotten word of this sweet advise and are screaming it from the rooftop.

This one user who goes by the name "the angry therapist" says when we are in a relationship kissing changes from a way of exploring our partner to more of a handshake or a gateway to other things."

So next time you pass by your partner in the hall, let that kiss linger for a few extra seconds. "Or playfully pat them on the bumm like I do:)"
