Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in confrontation with trucker in Gravenhurst

Police are searching for the truck driver

A 47-year-old Gravenhurst man is in a Toronto-area hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling from a transport truck that police said he climbed onto and got into a clash with the driver.

Bracebridge OPP said this happened on Bethune Drive near Violet Street shortly after 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Police said there was a confrontation between the man and the driver, and he fell from the rig when it was put in motion.

The truck driver fled the scene and has not been located.

The transport is described as a blue Freightliner with Ontario plate BK46352.
