Peloton recalls treadmills after the death of a child

Consumers should immediately stop using Peloton’s Tread+ and Tread treadmills

Peloton has recalled its treadmills after a child was fatally pulled under the rear of the treadmill.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission sent out a warning last month about the treadmills, going as far as to post a video on YouTube of a child being pulled under the treadmill.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission released the shocking video and is warning Peloton owners with kids and pets to stop using the machine.

The safety commission said Wednesday that Peloton is recalling its Tread+ and Tread treadmills.

The company, known for its stationary bikes, received 72 reports of people or objects being pulled under the treadmill.

Refunds are being offered from Peloton until Nov. 6, 2022.
