Penetanguishene Joins Growing List of Local Municipalities Opting In
Council Votes to Permit Cannabis Retail Stores
Penetanguishene is the latest community to opt in for retail cannabis stores.
Council last night voted to pull the trigger and allow pot shops within town borders, the latest community to do so recently.
Midland also voted to opt in last night, Bradford the night before, and Barrie opted in on Monday night. This doesn’t mean that retail cannabis stores will be built, just that they can.
Midland Town Council has voted to opt-in to Section 42 of the Cannabis Licence Act, 2018, allowing Cannabis Retail Stores in the Town of Midland.
