An investigation the OPP launched this month into drug trafficking in Muskoka has resulted in numerous charges against three people.
With assistance from Toronto Police, several Central Region OPP Community Street Crime Units, the provincial Joint-Forces Guns and Gangs Unit and Bracebridge OPP, investigators executed a search warrant in Gravenhurst and another in Toronto on Thursday.
Police say they seized numerous drugs including cocaine, codeine, magic mushrooms, marijuana, marijuana-related items, a gun, cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old man from Toronto has been charged with:
- Possession of Cocaine, CDSA 4(1)
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, CC 354(1)(a)
- Breach of Conditional Sentence Order
He was held in custody for a bail hearing yesterday.
A 24-year-old man from Gravenhurst was charged with:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of Codeine for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of Psilocybin for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling, CA 10(2) x4
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, CC 91(1)
- Careless storage of a firearm, CC 86(1)
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, CC 92(2)
- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, CC 354(1)(a)
A 24-year-old Gravenhurst woman was charged with:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
