Seeing your name on the side of a building is a pretty strong sign you’ve made it. Peter B. Moore got to find out what that felt like today when they unveiled the signage for a Georgian College building named in his honour.
“Peter’s recent investment in this building takes what’s possible for our students, local businesses and our community to a whole new level,” said MaryLynn West-Moynes, President and CEO of Georgian College. “It is here where, through meaningful collaboration, Georgian students, faculty and partners are turning employer challenges into opportunities, new ideas into businesses, and are pushing boundaries and innovating so that new products and services can be scaled-up and commercialized.”
The Peter B. Moore Advanced Technology Centre was named for Moore, a local businessman and philanthropist, after a substantial donation to Georgian College. The amount has been kept quiet, out of what West-Moynes has previously said is a sense of modesty on Moore’s part.
