One person was airlifted to hospital on Tuesday morning after a pickup truck and a construction vehicle collided in Severn Township.

Orillia OPP say they responded to the collision around 7:20 at the intersection of Kinnear Sideroad and Upper Big Chute Road.

One person was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the collision who has information or dashcam footage related to the incident is asked to contact the Orillia OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or to report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.crimestopperssdm.com.
