Since 1985, Barrie Trim & Mouldings has been a trusted name in quality interior finishing. What started as a small retail shop on Bell Farm Road has grown into one of Barrie’s most respected suppliers of trim, doors, stairs, railings, mouldings, and hardware.
Now a second-generation, family-owned business, Barrie Trim & Mouldings continues to blend innovation with tradition—offering expert service and top-tier products to homeowners, contractors, and builders throughout Simcoe County.
A Legacy Built on Quality
For nearly 40 years, Barrie Trim & Mouldings has stayed true to its core mission: providing exceptional service and high-quality products to help customers transform their spaces. Their offerings cover a wide range of residential and commercial projects, with a focus on precision, durability, and timeless design.
From classic trim and mouldings to prehung interior doors and custom staircases, the team works closely with clients to find solutions that meet both their aesthetic and functional needs. Their dedication to excellence is evident in every detail—whether it’s a large-scale development or a single-room renovation.
A Timeline of Growth and Expansion
Barrie Trim & Mouldings’ history is one of thoughtful expansion and forward momentum. After outgrowing its first location in just one year, the company moved to Cedar Pointe Plaza, and by 1992 had built a custom 15,000 sq. ft. facility facing Highway 400—a bold move at the time, but one that positioned them for long-term success.
Over the years, they’ve continued to expand:
- 1995: Launched a stair and railing division, allowing customers to shop for complete interior finishing packages under one roof.
- 2007: Added 6,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space to support growing demand.
- 2012: Stair manufacturing moved to a dedicated offsite facility, creating more room for prehung door and trim production.
- 2014: Ownership passed to the son of the founding partner, ensuring continuity and fresh leadership while keeping the business in the family.
- 2017: A refreshed look and new signage helped mark the next chapter of growth and modernization.
Supporting the Community that Built Them
