They’re pretty and festive but the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie is banning poinsettia plants. The ban extends to Rotary Place as well.
RVH states that “due to a life-threatening allergy of one of our team members we are introducing this mandatory ban.” Any poinsettias currently in the building have been safely removed.
At RVH, safety is our promise and that includes ensuring our workplace is safe for our patients, employees, physicians and volunteers.
Members of the public are asked to not bring poinsettias to the health centre.
Members of staff and our volunteers will remind visitors of this restriction throughout the holiday season.
