Police believe Wasaga Beach stabbing suspect to be armed and dangerous; two in hospital

Two 18-year-olds found suffering serious injuries on Main St. bridge Thursday night

Police are looking for a suspect following a pair of stabbings in Wasaga Beach.

Officers out of Huronia West OPP detachment were called to the Main Street bridge at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, with reports of two 18-year-olds with serious injuries. Both were rushed to a local hospital; one was later airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.

The initial police investigation indicates an altercation took place between the two victims and a suspect, resulting in both teens being stabbed. The suspect is described as a white male, 17 to 20 years of age, standing about 5’9″ to 6’1″ tall, with curly brown hair. He was wearing a black sleeveless shirt at the time.

Police believe the suspect to be armed and dangerous. If you spot him, don’t approach; call 911.
