Cops and canine swooped in at a downtown Barrie business on Wednesday afternoon.
Pictures from the scene show a police tactical team outside Jah Jahz Urban Flex, located at 17 Bayfield Street near Dunlop Street.
Nottawasaga OPP later tweeted they executed several search warrants within their detachment area, including Barrie.
They added there were no safety concerns and several people were in custody, though OPP did not disclose where the arrests were made.
"Expect a heavy police presence during the investigation. Details to follow when available," police tweeted.
Barrie police communications coordinator Peter Leon told Barrie 360 its officers were at the downtown location to assist the Ontario Provincial Police but that it was an OPP investigation.
