Police hunting for suspect after armed robbery at downtown Barrie convenience store early Tuesday morning

An armed robbery in downtown Barrie was caught on video.

The Barrie Police Service say a suspect entered the Circle K store at the corner of Dunlop and Mulcaster around 4:30 Tuesday morning, adding he showed a weapon to the lone employee before demanding cash.

The suspect left the store on foot, last seen heading east on Dunlop Street. The employee was not hurt.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • Approximately 5’6” tall with a skinny build
  • Wearing a black hoody with a black logo on the hood, black jacket with a small white logo or zipper on the right chest, black mask, grey sleek high top shoes with dark laces and a white stripe along the sole at the heel and grey gloves.
