Police investigating multiple vehicle thefts in Bradford West Gwillimbury

The South Simcoe Police Service is seeking the public's assistance following multiple vehicle thefts in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

The thefts occurred between approximately 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 4, 2023, and 6:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023.  A total of four vehicles were taken from residential driveways on West Park Avenue (Lexus and BMW), Sideroad 10 (Lexus), and Ferragine Crescent (Volvo).  

Anyone with information, or security/dashcam footage is asked to contact police at 705-436-2141, or 905-775-3311, extension 1461, or email investigations@southsimcoepolice.ca.  Please ensure you include the PR/Occurrence number of the incident which can be found at the top of this media release.

The South Simcoe Police Service is providing the following tips to help reduce the risk of your vehicle being stolen:

  • Park your vehicle in a garage, if possible. Always lock your garage door.
  • If you have a second vehicle, park it directly behind targeted ones.
  • Always remove valuables.
  • Ensure your property is well lit.
  • Store your keys far away from your vehicle and use a signal blocking device such as a Faraday pouch, if possible.
  • Use theft-prevention devices such as an automatic engine shut-off, steering wheel lock or diagnostic port lock.  
  • Install a tracking device.
  • Invest in security cameras for outside your home.
