Police probing Monday evening armed hold up of Collingwood gas station

Masked man took off with undisclosed amount of cash, says OPP

Police are investigating reports of an armed robbery in Collingwood.

Officers were called to a gas station at the corner of Hume and St. Paul Streets around 7 p.m. Monday with reports someone had held the store up at gunpoint. Police were told a masked man entered and brandished a firearm before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Despite a track from the OPP’s canine unit and Emergency Response Team, a suspect could not be located. He is described as wearing a plaid jacket with black hoodie, camo pants, and black boots.
