Police Recover Firearm Following Domestic Assault

Bradford Man Faces Charges

South Simcoe Police Service officers recovered a firearm and charged a Bradford man after being called to a domestic dispute.

Around 12:30am on Sunday morning, police responded to a Bradford home after a woman said she was assaulted and prevented from leaving the house.

The victim’s boyfriend was arrested at the scene.

Police executed a search warrant on the home and a vehicle.

As a result, a shotgun was recovered and a 31-year-old Bradford man was charged with several offences including assault.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later released with conditions.
