Police say Midland theft suspect had stolen goods on him at the time of his arrest

Suspect arrested over public intoxication and connected to Monday theft

A Midland man is being accused of being caught with some stolen goods after reports of a break-and-enter in town.

Officers with the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment were called out to a Fourth Street home in Midland in the late afternoon Monday. The home had been broken into and a number of items taken.

Through police investigation, a suspect was identified. However, police say he was arrested on Tuesday over another incident. At the time, police say he was found to be in possession of items taken from the home.

A 34-year-old man was charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property, and being intoxicated in a public place.
